Aquinas College Association of Nursing Students
The Aquinas College Association of Nursing Students (A.C.A.N.S.) is an organization for all students in the School of Nursing. Consistent with the Mission and Core Values of Aquinas College and the philosophy of the School of Nursing, the purposes of A.C.A.N.S. are:
- To assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education in order to provide for the highest quality health care;
- To provide educational opportunities and services representative of current professional interests and concerns, and;
- To facilitate the development of the whole person, his/her professional role, and his/her responsibility for the health care of all persons through the art and science of nursing.
Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society
The objective of the Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society of the National Organization for Associate Degree Nursing shall be to recognize the academic excellence of students in the study of Associate Degree Nursing. The Society shall encourage the pursuit of advanced degrees in the profession of nursing as well as in continuing education as a life-long professional responsibility in the profession of nursing.
