Associate of Science in Nursing
The Associate of Science in Nursing (A.S.N.) Program prepares students to become competent and confident beginning level practitioners of nursing in the Catholic-Dominican tradition and as generalists in a variety of acute, chronic, and outpatient clinical settings. The integrated competency-based curriculum is grounded in the liberal arts, sciences, religious studies, and in the art and science of nursing. The course of study immerses students in professional nursing practice to provide safe, ethical, and effective nursing interventions, integrating the Christian values and moral principles that promote the dignity, freedom, and flourishing of every person.
